\r\nTune Protect organized a Nature Appreciation Trip to Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) in Kepong. The effort was to bring employees closer to nature in order to appreciate the natural beauty of mother nature. \r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\nThe day started with a fun bus ride from Tune Protect\u2019s Headquarters. Upon arrival, where we spotted out route and had a safety briefing.\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\nOur ultra-experienced guides divided us into 2 groups and led the way very swiftly.\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

On the way to the FRIM gallery, our guides took us by the lovely lake that house a secret\u2026<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n

\u2026they were home to giant Amazonian Arapaima fish that were larger than most of us!<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n

At the Nature Gallery, our guides showed us how timber has been widely used and explained why it must stop.\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n

After a guided tour of the Nature Gallery, we ventured outside and were surprised to learn that we were walking on tin-rich soil!<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n

Everyone gathered to listen to our guide introducing the FRIM \u201ccelebrity\u201d tree \u2026 \r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n

\r\nCameras and mobile phones were snapping all the way up the \u201cKeruing\u201d Trail?\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

We hiked the \u201cKeruing Trail\u201d named after the Keruing tree that has seeds\u2026\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n

\u2026shaped like \u201cwings\u201d that rotate gently at they make their way down to the ground to germinate.<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n

We felt like little Smurfs walking in the land of the giants.\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n

The show-stopping towering Kapur trees that reached for the sky and protected everyone from the scorching heat and the land erosion.<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n

The \u201cCrowning Shyness Phenomenon\u201d was the highlight of the hike\u2026\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n

\r\nThe air was cool, fresh and crisp! Our senses came to life during the adventure!\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

After the playing with the stream water, the nice picnic lunch under the green canapoy tasted sooo good<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n

\r\nThe trip was successful in \u201ccreating awareness\u201d that led to social change within Tune Protect.
