  1. What is this product about?

Tune Protect Ride Easy is an insurance product designed to protect the insured, driver and/ or passenger(s) in the event of a bodily injury arising from an accident which results in death or disablement. It covers all persons riding or driving the private vehicle named in the policy.

 

  1. When I purchase Tune Protect Ride Easy, can I use credit card to pay for the insurance premium?

You may use your credit card or even your debit card to make the payment.

 

  1. What are Tune Protect Ride Easy's benefits?
  • Accidental Death
  • Permanent Disablement
  • Medical Expenses
  • Bereavement Allowance
  • Daily Hospital Income

 

  1. Who can apply for this policy?
  • Malaysians or Residents who have permanent address in Malaysia
  • Malaysians or Residents who are from the age of 3 years and up to 69 years old only

 

  1. When does my insurance coverage start?

Your coverage starts from the date of successful made your payment online.

 

  1. What is the duration of the insurance coverage?

The coverage period is for 12 calendar months from the date you have successful made your payment online. Subsequently, after the expiry date, you can purchase Tune Protect Ride Easy on a yearly basis.

 

  1. Can I buy more than one Tune Protect Ride Easy Insurance?

Yes, you can buy multiple Tune Protect Ride Easy but only one policy is allowed for one named vehicle.

 

  1. What is the difference between Tune Protect Ride Easy Insurance and Motor Insurance?

Motor Insurance only covers for the damage to vehicle and third party liability whilst Tune Protect Ride Easy Insurance covers the Insured, the driver and its unnamed passengers inside the private vehicle for death and permanent disablement.

 

  1. What are some of the key terms and conditions that I should be aware of?
  • Duty of Disclosure
    • You must give all the material facts in your application form fully and faithfully otherwise your policy may be voided. Material facts are your age, medical condition and any other information that may affect your risk profile. If you are not sure whether a fact is material, please seek our advice.
  • Payment Terms
    • The insurance will not be effective unless the premium payable has been fully paid.
  • Claims
    • The Company will pay the lnsured, the driver and passenger(s) in accordance to the limits stated in the Schedule of Benefits against death, permanent disablement, medical expenses and/ or bereavement expenses resulting from an accidental event.

 

  1. Can I cancel my policy?

You may cancel the policy at any time by giving written notice via email to us. We shall retain the customary short period rate for the time the policy has been in force. Upon cancellation, you are entitled to a refund premium subjected to the following:-

Short Period Rates % deducted
1) Not exceeding 3 calendar months 59% deducted
2) Exceeding 3 months but up to 6 months 75% deducted
3) Exceeding 6 months 100% deducted

 

  1. How do I cancel the policy?

Please email your Certificate of Insurance, IC number, name of insured, bank account number and name of the bank to [email protected].

 

  1. Can I upgrade or downgrade the plan?

No, you are not entitled to upgrade or downgrade the plan.

 

  1. Can I transfer the plan to another vehicle?

This plan is non-transferrable, as it only covers the vehicle which is named and stated during the online purchase of Tune Protect Ride Easy.

 

  1. What do I need to do if there are changes to my contact details?

It is crucial for you to update your contact information to ensure all correspondence reach you on a timely manner.

  1. What happens once I have made a claim?

Your coverage will cease once your limits (as per sum insured) is exhausted.

 

  1. How are claims paid?

Payment of any claim shall be in Ringgit Malaysia (via e-payment ) or its equivalent in other currency (by Bank Draft) at the prevailing rate as per Bank Negara Malaysia (Central Bank of Malaysia) at the time of effecting payment.

 

  1. I don't have a credit card nor a debit card. Can I get another person to make the payment on my behalf?

Yes, you can. For security reasons and to enable a smooth payment process, please make sure you obtain acknowledgement and approval from the other person to use his/ her credit card or debit card, before making the payment.

 

  1. Will I receive any Tax Invoice if I purchase Tune Protect Ride Easy?

Yes, a Tax Invoice will be issued.
