2. What is my insurance coverage under Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia?
+

Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia includes cover for overseas medical expenses, travel cancellation, missed departure, baggage & personal effects, travel delay, emergency medical evacuation & repatriation and personal accident.

Please refer the Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia Policy Wording for full description of the terms, conditions and exclusions.

3. When does my Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia coverage begin?

The Return-Trip Plans commence when you check-in for your Air Arabia Departure Flight and terminate when you have reached the flight terminal on your Air Arabia Return Flight. The Return-Trip (Inbound) commences when you check-in at the immigration of your Air Arabia schedule destination (country of arrival) and terminates when you check-out at the immigration of your Air Arabia schedule destination.

The One-Way Plan commences when you check-in for your Air Arabia Departure Flight and terminates when you have arrived at the flight terminal of your Air Arabia destination.

4. Does Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia enforce age limit?

Yes, the passengers must be at least 2 years old and does not exceed 85 years of age to qualify for Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia.

5. Do I need medical examination to purchase Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia?

Medical examination is not required. Please note that claims arising from pre-existing medical conditions are excluded under Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia.

6. Can I still purchase Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia if I have a Pre-existing Condition?

Yes, however, Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia has exclusions on Pre-existing Conditions as stated in the policy's Full Terms and Conditions.

"Pre-existing Condition" refers to injury, sickness, disease, illness or other medical conditions that required medical treatments from a Physician two (2) years preceding the Policy effective date, or a condition for which hospitalization or surgery was required five (5) years preceding the Policy effective date.

7. Can I pay extra to cover pre-existing medical conditions?

No, as pre-existing medical conditions are not covered.
8. Can I amend my Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia?
+
You are allowed to amend your Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia only if you are allowed to make changes to your flight itinerary and the travel period should be the same as your original booking, provided the changes are made before start of booked and ticketed journey from point of travel origin. Any increase in number of return days from the originally Coverage Days slab will require additional premium to be paid by passenger.
9. Can I cancel my Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia?

Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia cannot be cancelled because the travel cancellation benefit is already affected upon purchase.
10. Is Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia premium refundable?

The Premium is non-refundable.

11. Do I have to carry a copy of my Certificate of Insurance with me when traveling?

We encourage you to do so but you will be covered even if you don’t have the certificate with you during your trip.

12. Am I required to carry any additional documents to proof my purchase when I am traveling?

No, your purchase confirmation is printed on your Air Arabia travel itinerary.

13. Where should I indicate my nominee for receiving benefits?

The Estate Administration Laws of the respective countries will determine the lawful recipient of your benefits, in the event of death or total permanent disability.

14. What happens to my Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia if Air Arabia reschedules my Return Flight to a later date?

Your coverage is automatically extended to cover you for a period of 3 days beyond your maximum coverage period offered by Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia, if your Return Flight is rescheduled by Air Arabia to a later date.

15. What is the cost per person for Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia, if my purchase of the Travel Protection is for more than one person under the same Travel Itinerary?

The Premium offered by Air Arabia will be for the number of passengers the PNR is being booked (excluding Infant).

You can purchase Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia even if you are not of country of destination and/or do not live in country of destination provided you have purchased a ticket from Air Arabia for flights departing from your country of residence.

4. If I am travelling with a friend, do I have to buy a Tune Protect document to travel on Air Arabia as another independent one?

5. How can I purchase the Tune Protect Travel Policy on Air Arabia for my infant baby below 02 years?

Tune Protect Travel Policy on Air Arabia provides free coverage for an Infant, when travelling with an Adult. The benefits received by the Infant will be 10% of certain sections as offered to the accompanying Adult passenger.
6. Can I buy Tune Protect Travel cover on Air Arabia if I am travelling for more than 90 days?

Tune Protect Travel coverage on Air Arabia is available for flights lasting between one to 90 days. If you are travelling for more than 90 days, the cover will end on day 91 after the first departure date.
7. Can I buy Tune Protect One-way travel coverage on Air Arabia if I have purchased a round-trip ticket?

No. Your Tune Protect Travel policy on your Air Arabia is based on your Air Arabia travel guide, if you have purchased a round-trip ticket, you will be covered for that specific return flight.

The Trip Cancellation Benefit is only applicable for the reasons stated in the Terms and Conditions namely unforeseen emergencies such as illness, injury or death involving you, your travel companion and/or an immediate family member.

No, there is no option under the policies to increase the cover provided for baggage, or any of the other benefits.

9. Can I continue with my medical treatment for injuries sustained overseas when I return home?

Yes, you can continue your treatment as long as the initial treatment is received during the trip and all expenses are incurred within 30 days after the expiry of your Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia.

10. If I need treatment for an illness during my trip, can I claim for medical, hospital or any other related expenses?

Yes, you can claim for your sickness-related medical expenses under Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia.

1. If the Customs Department were to confiscate anything from me, could I make a claim under the Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia?

No, cover for claims arising from confiscation by authorities is excluded.

2. How do I file a claim?

Please file in your claim at our online portal Online Claim Portal or alternatively, you may download the Claim Form and upon completion, please fax and mail the duly completed form and claim supporting documents to the fax number and address stated in the Claim Form.

3. How long does it take before my claims are processed?

Your claim will be processed within 7 working days after you have submitted all the required documents.

4. What is the time limit for me to file a claim?
+

All claims must be submitted to respective insurance underwriters within 30 days after the occurrence of the event together with the supporting documents.

5. What shall I do if I disagree with a claim decision made?

Tune Protect Travel - Air Arabia will advise you in writing of your rights to appeal the claim decision and the procedures for filing an appeal with the respective insurance underwriters.

6. How soon can I file my claims?

The Insured/ Claimant has maximum of ninety (30) Days to submit all supporting documents of the incident after submission of claim request. In the event of hospitalization, the Insured Person or treating hospital is required to contact the Emergency Assistance within 24 hours of admission. The Insured Person or treating hospital must receive an acknowledgement or approval in writing from an Emergency Assistance.
