3. If I need treatment for an illness during my trip, can I claim for medical, hospital or any other related expenses?

Yes, you can claim for your sickness-related medical expenses under our Return Regional/International Plans when you are traveling with AirAsia.

4. If the Customs Department were to confiscate anything from me, could I make a claim under the Tune Protect Travel – AirAsia?

No, cover for claims arising from confiscation by authorities is excluded.

5. How do I file a claim?

Your Tune Protect Travel – AirAsia will be underwritten by Malayan Insurance Company, Inc. Please download the Claim Form here and upon completion, please email the completed form to and its claim supporting documents to [email protected]

6. How long does it take before my claims are processed?
+

Your claims will be processed within 7 days after you have submitted all the required documents.

7. What is the time limit for me to file a claim?
+

All claims must be submitted to Malayan Insurance Company, Inc. within 30 days after the occurrence of the event together with the supporting documents.

8. What shall I do if I disagree with a claim decision made?

Tune Protect Travel – AirAsia will advise you in writing of your rights to appeal the claim decision and the procedures for filing an appeal with Malayan Insurance Company, Inc.

Our CHUBB Assistance team is ready to assist you. Please call our 24-Hour Hotline (+632) 864-0865. Contact the local telephone operator and ask for a reverse charge call to CHUBB Assistance.

2. How do I make a claim?

3. When must I inform CHUBB Insurance of my claim?
+

Medical Expenses or Assistance Claims If you have been hospitalized, or require emergency evacuation or repatriation following an accident you must contact our CHUBB Assistance team immediately or as soon as reasonably possible so that CHUBB Assistance can make the necessary arrangements. Please call our 24-Hour Hotline (+632) 864-0865.
All Other Claims As soon as reasonably possible (and no later than 30 days after the date of incident giving rise to the claim), you should complete the claim form and submit a claim notification to CHUBB Insurance.

4. How long does it take to process my claim?

CHUBB Insurance always strive to process claims as quickly as possible. To avoid delay and to ensure your claims is handled efficiently, please complete the claim form in full and submit all required proof of loss documentation. CHUBB Insurance will process your claims within 5 to 10 working days following the receipt of all claims requirements.
