Tune Protect Annual Plan is a travel insurance plan designed specifically for Big Loyalty Member, AirAsia Staff and the needs of an individual who will be travelling internationally with all airlines which departure from Thailand and is underwritten by Tune Insurance Public Company Limited.

2. What do we cover?

We covers you for accidental death and travel inconveniences such as loss of travel documents and luggage, travel delays, trip cancellation, misconnections, overseas medical expenses, 24/7 emergency assistance services etc. Coverage varies depending on your plan.

3. What are the plans available?

All Tune Protect Annual Plan meet the Schengen Visa Requirement.

2. Can I purchase Tune Protect Annual Plan if I am already overseas?

You cannot purchase Tune Protect Annual Plan after setting off for your overseas trip from Thailand

3. How far in advance should I purchase Tune Protect Annual Plan?

You should purchase Tune Protect Annual Plan 1 day in advance before departure from Thailland.

4. Where can I get my full policy wording?

Your policy schedule and policy wording will be sent to you via email after purchasing Tune Protect Annual Plan or you may download via website

5. What should I do if I do not receive my Tune Protect Annual Plan confirmation?

6. Can I change Tune Protect Annual Plan?

You cannot change the plan.

7. Who can purchase Tune Protect Annual Plan?
+

Tune Protect Annual Plan can be purchased by Big Loyalty Member, AirAsia Staff and General Customers for all airlines departure from Thailand.

8. Does Tune Protect Annual Plan have an age application limit?
+

You can apply for Tune Protect Annual Plan provided you are aged 2-85 years old at the date of traveling. All benefits amount will be reduced to 50% if the Insured's age exceeds 75 but not exceed 80 years old and all benefits amount will be reduced to 25% if the Insured's age exceeds 80 but not exceed 85 years old

Coverage

1. When does the coverage begin? When does the coverage end?
+

The coverage starts two hours prior to the departure from Thailand and continues until the Insured travels back to his or her place of residence in Thailand, or for two hours upon arrival in Thailand, or until the expiry date of the period of insurance, whichever is earlier

2. What is the maximum period of coverage per trip?
+

This plan covers multiple trips over the period of one year. The maximum number of days of coverage per trip is limited to 180 consecutive days.

3. What kind of excluded activites that are considered as dangerous activities?
+

Racing of all kinds including car, boat, horse, ski, jet-skiing, skate, boxing, parachute jumping (except for the purpose of life saving), boarding or traveling in a hot air balloon or gliding

4. Am I covered for any pre-existing condition?
+

No. We do not cover any pre-existing conditions which the Insured Person was diagnosed, treated or knew about before the effective date.

5. Are there any countries excluded under Tune Protect Annual Plan?
+

Yes, your insurance does not cover any trip in, to or through the following countries; Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iran,  Iraq, Afghanistan, Liberia, Syria,  Sudan and Cuba

6. I have a medical condition. Can I buy Tune Protect Annual Plan?
+

You can still buy our Tune Protect Annual Plan but it is important to note that you may not be covered for pre-existing condition or medical conditions.

7. How do I do if I’m injured overseas and need to evacuate?

:

You have to contact our emergency assistance service immediately  +662-180-5581  press 1  to arrange for emergency medical evacuation or repatriation to Thailand utilizing the means best suited to do so, based on the medical on he medical severity of your condition.

8. What are the covered events under Trip Cancellation or Postphonement?
+

Trip Cancellation or Postphonement occurs within 30 days before the date of departure from Thailand (except for the event in item 3) resulting in being unable to travel in accordance with the itinerary

  1. Death, Serious Injury, or Sickness of the Insured or his or her Family Member prevents the Insured from traveling in accordance with the itinerary.
  2. Unexpected strike, riot, or civil war which is out of the Insured’s control, preventing the Insured from traveling in accordance with the itinerary.
  3. The Insured’s permanent residence is seriously damaged by fire, flood or similar natural disasters such as typhoon, earthquake within one week prior to the date of departure
  4. The Insured is subpoenaed to appear as a witness in court, or receives a mandatory writ from the court.

 

9. What happen if your flight is delayed due to bad weather for more than 6 hours?

The compensation will be paid 10% of Sum Insured but not exceeding the sum insured as specified in the schedule for flight delay with respect to every 6 full consecutive hours of delay

10. What are the covered events for delayed baggage?
+

If your checked-in baggage is delay due to misdirect by airline or carrier to another location or temporarily lost

11. What happens if the carrier misdirect the baggage for more than 24 hours?
+

The compensation will be paid 10% of Sum Insured but not exceeding the sum insured as specified in the schedule for baggage delay with respect to every 6 full consecutive hours of delay

12. What are the covered events for loss of travel document?
+

If your travel documents are lost due to robbery, gang robbery or burglary or natural disaster (typhoon, tsunami and earthquake etc.) while you are aboard.

 

13. What is the limit of cover for any one article for damage or loss of personal bagggae and property?
+

10% of Sum Insured for any one item or set or pair of items but not exceeding the sum insured as specified in the schedule.

14. Am I covered for accidental damage to rent ski equipment under personal liability?
+

No, we do not cover loss or damage of rental equipment.

Claims

1. How do I submit my claim?
+
  1. All claims need to be submitted to us within 30 days from the date of accident.
  2. Download the Claim Form via email at [email protected] and complete in full.
  3. Collate and Attach your completed claim form and docouments and email us at [email protected]
  4. You can also submit the original claim form and documents by registered mail or hand delivery to the address below

2. If I post my claim, how will I know if you have received?

For Claim Submission via Email [email protected] : you will receive an email confirmation as a proof of submission
For Claim Submission by registered mail or hand delivery : You will receive an acknowledge from us within 5 working days from the date of receipt of the documents

3. How will I know when my claim has been assessed?

You will receive a reply within 14 working days from the date of acknowledgement requsting for additional documents. If your documents are compete, the claim will be processed accordingly.

4. How long is the claim processing time?
+

It would take 10 working days to process your claim upon the verification of complete document received.

5. How will my reimbursement payment be sent to me?
+

For quick reimbursement, we recommend you choose the e-payment. You can also choose to receive your payment via cheque or self-collection
