Tune Protect x Sunway X Farms Grow & Give Programme – Session 2
Tune Protect and Sunway XFarms continued the Grow & Give initiative with the second session in July. The session was graced by the presence of Tune Protect Board Member Mr. Jayakumar Somasundram, Group CEO Mr. Kim Lian How, and Sunway XFarms CEO Mr. Mohd Afdhal Mohd Nayan, who joined the volunteers in support of the cause. Together, the team donated a hydroponic farming system to benefit the residents of Apartment Medan Jaya, while also harvesting 25kg of fresh vegetables for the community.
Tune Protect at 2025 CSR & Sustainability Awards
Tune Protect was named Company of the Year (Insurance) at the 2025 Sustainability & CSR Malaysia Awards, under the Outstanding Community Care Award category. The recognition celebrates our commitment to driving meaningful impact through initiatives that uplift communities and create lasting change. Group CEO, Kim Lian How, accepted the award on behalf of Tune Protect from YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini, Deputy Minister of Women, Family & Community Development.
Tune Protect Free Market: Give & Grow Programme
Tune Protect organized a Free Market: Give & Grow Programme, a Corporate Good initiative dedicated to fostering sustainability and community engagement. Taking place at The Curve, Mutiara Damansara, the event brought together 40 passionate Tune Protectors who distributed more than 2,000 potted plants to the public.From morning until night, the community turned up in full support, with a steady stream of visitors eager to take home a plant and join in the movement towards a greener environment. The initiative not only encouraged sustainable living but also strengthened the bond between Tune Protect and the community—cultivating hope, growth, and a more sustainable future for all.
Tune Protect x Sunway X Farms Grow & Give Programme – Session 1
Tune Protect collaborated with Sunway XFarms for the Grow & Give initiative, kicking off the first of four sessions in May. Held at Sunway FutureX in Subang Jaya, the programme brought together passionate Tune Protectors with a shared goal of creating positive impact for both people and the planet. As part of the session, volunteers gained hands-on experience in hydroponic farming, learned harvesting techniques, and helped set up farm infrastructure. The day also included a clean-up and recycling drive, reinforcing the importance of sustainable practices and collective action.
Mangrove Planting & Beach Clean Up with TKHM
Tune Protect kicked off its first Corporate Good initiative of the year with a meaningful Mangrove Planting and Beach Clean-Up at Pantai Bumi Hijau, Sabak Bernam. In collaboration with Titipan Kasih Harian Metro, the activity brought together 80 Tune Protect volunteers to give back to both the environment and the community.The effort saw 500 mangrove trees and 70 fruit trees planted, 30 Kotak Rezeki food boxes distributed to underprivileged families, and a cleaner coastline to help protect marine life. With each mangrove tree able to absorb up to 12.3 kg of CO₂ per year, this initiative marks a strong step towards a greener, more sustainable future.
Tree-Planting Program
Tune Protect sent a passionate team of over 30 volunteers, joining hands with like-minded organisations to participate in a tree-planting program in Selangor for two consecutive months, in September & October.
Educational Visit to University of Malaya
Tune Protect brought 38 talented young athletes from Sekolah Kg. Baru Si Rusa to the prestigious University of Malaya for an educational sports visit.
Cybersecurity Training
Tune Protect engaged with 350 students from of SK Kg Baru Si Rusa, in a 3-series cybersecurity training. The training equipped the Year 4 to Year 6 students with essential knowledge and tools to navigate the online world safely.
Sports & Digital Focuse
We carried our Sports & Digital Focused Corporate Good activity at SK Kg Baru Si Rusa, Port Dickson with 75 volunteers. We enhanced the digital library and sports facilities at the school with new furniture, installed vinyl flooring and restored the school field. Additionally, we organized a mini sports carnival with active participation from both students and parents.
Roll Out Iftar
In the holy month of Ramadhan, Tune Protect collaborated with Sinar Harian to roll out iftar food packs to our local heroes. We distributed 1,000 pieces of murtabak and kuih to hospital staffs, police officers and firefighters around Klang Valley.
Battle of the Reds!
In conjunction with the Battle of the Reds, we organized a charity football clinic at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium for 40 kids from SK Cochrane. After the clinic, we had the opportunity to watch the match between the legends from Manchester United and Liverpool with the kids.
School Clean Up & Community Outreach in Tanjong Karang
60 Tune Protectors embarked on a meaningful community outreach initiative, journeying to SK Tanjong Karang to aid in refurbishing and transforming one of the school's rooms into a vibrant classroom for the students. Additionally, they dedicated efforts to painting the floor of the school walkway and revitalizing the school garden and pond, enhancing the learning environment for all.
EXCOM School Project
Tune Protect EXCOM members visited SK Kampung Baru Si Rusa in Port Dickson. Our EXCOM provided short-term contributions to the "gerobok rezeki" of the school and plan to support the school in achieving greater results in sports and digital in the coming year.
CG Month: Nationwide School Library Refurbishment
Tune Protect embarked on a meaningful journey to nine schools across the nation to refurbish their libraries and transform them into inviting and functional spaces for students to learn and grow. Collaborating with Nourish Malaysia, we focused on four schools in Peninsular Malaysia, spanning the central, northern, southern, and east coast regions. Additionally, our team reached five more schools in West Malaysia aiming to empower students with enhanced learning environments, fostering a brighter future for education.
Green & Groom Project at Zoo Negara
Tune Protectors participated in our Corporate Good (CG) program, where we went to groom and green the national zoo. Divided into several groups, each tending to different segments of animals, we engaged in a variety of activities from cleaning enclosures and surrounding areas to preparing food for the animals. We also handed over our donations to the zoo, which included essential items such as wheelbarrows, strollers, and metal buckets.
Bubur Lambuk Titipan Kasih
Tune Protect collaborated with Harian Metro to distribute bubur lambuk to the B40 residents of Bandar Sri Permaisuri. Our dedicated staff actively engaged in preparing, cooking, and distributing the bubur lambuk as part of our Corporate Good initiative.
Tune Protect CSR in Motion
We teamed up with AirAsia Grocer again to extend flood relief packs to the Orang Asli community in Johor. Internally, Tune Protect staff came together to donate clothes and beddings to be given to the affected families.

Back-2-School with YCK
Tune Protect initiated our first Corporate Good program of the year, a Back-to-School charity shopping event with the children of Yayasan Chow Kit. Following the shopping, we had our lunch at the Atmosphere360 Restaurant, KL Tower, where our Group CEO, Rohit Nambiar, and our Sustainability Committee Chairman, How Kim Lian presented a mock cheque of RM30,000 to Dato’ Dr. Hartini, Co-founder of Yayasan Chow Kit, and Ananti Rajasingam, CEO of Yayasan Chow Kit.
CSR Football Clinic for YCK kids
Day 2 of Tune Protect’s World Cup activation event at Sunway Velocity Mall welcomes the children of Yayasan Chow Kit for a mobile football clinic.
Tune Protect Thailand CSR Project
Tune Protect Thailand gave solar cell wall lamps to the Foundation of Children "Baan Tantwan", in Nakhon Pathom Province. All TPT staff participated in the lamp installation and spent time with the children in the one-day event.

Each One Plant One Tree-Planting Program
Our staff had successfully planted 45 tree saplings at Pantai Eco Park Community Centre while learning a little more about our environment and nature thanks to the Malaysian Nature Society (MNS).
