No, a medical examination is not required. However, please note that coverage for any Pre-Existing Medical Conditions are excluded.

Yes, you can. However, there are exclusions on Pre-existing Conditions as stated in the policy's full Terms and Conditions and no claims will be paid in relation to the said conditions.
"Pre-existing Condition" refers to injury, sickness, disease, illness or other medical conditions which existed 90 days before you purchase Tune Protect Travel – AirAsia.

For short haul flights (AK, QZ, Z2, and FD), your Tune Protect Travel – AirAsia* policy will terminate if you make any changes to your AirAsia flight. You will have to repurchase travel insurance for your new itinerary.

For long haul flights (D7, XJ and XT), your Tune Protect Travel – AirAsia* policy will be automatically carried forward to your new itinerary if you make any changes to your AirAsia flight.

Except for the Trip Cancellation benefit, the cover commences from Your check in at the airport on the First Departure Date for a Scheduled Flight. The cover for Trip Cancellation benefit commences twenty-four (24) hours from the purchase date of the Insurance for Your Scheduled Flight.

The Trip Cancellation Benefit is only applicable for the reasons stated in the policy terms and conditions.

10. Can I continue with my medical treatment for injuries sustained overseas when I return to Malaysia?

Yes, you may continue your treatment as long as the initial treatment is received during the trip and all expenses are incurred within 30 days from the date of expiry of your plan. The amount claimable should not exceed 10% of the sum insured for Medical Expenses Reimbursement benefit.

1. What is Sales and Services Tax or SST?
Apakah Cukai Jualan dan Perkhidmatan atau SST?

The Sales and Services Tax is also referred to as “SST”. Sales Tax is a single stage tax levied on imported and locally manufactured goods, Service Tax is charged and levied on any provision of taxable services.

The SST was re-introduced in Malaysia effective from 1 September 2018.


Cukai Jualan dan Perkhidmatan juga dirujuk sebagai "SST". Cukai Jualan adalah cukai seperingkat yang dilevi ke atas barang-barang buatan tempatan dan import, Cukai Perkhidmatan dikenakan dan dilevi ke atas sebarang peruntukan perkhidmatan yang boleh dikenakan cukai.

All claims must be submitted to Tune Protect Malaysia within 30 days after the occurrence of the event together with the supporting documents.

You may opt to receive your reimbursement via bank draft or telegraphic transfer. Kindly be advised that any cost, charges and/or fees in relation to overseas bank remittance and/or issuance of bank draft in respect of the settlement of your claim shall be borne you.

Yes, you will be covered for COVID-19 under the bereavement allowance, hospital income, emergency overseas evacuation & repatriation, trip cancellation and compassionate visit benefits if you choose to purchase Plus Plan that is with COVID-19 Coverage.

For reimbursement of medical expenses due to COVID-19, reimbursement shall be according to the amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits up to a maximum of MYR 250,000 (depending on selected plan) if you contract COVID-19 and are hospitalized in the Country of Arrival due to Stage 3 to Stage 5 treatment up to the first 30 days of Trip duration.

Important Note: Please ensure that the travel insurance plan that you purchased meets the Country of Arrival’s minimum medical expenses coverage requirement.

Ya, anda dilindungi untuk COVID-19 bagi manfaat tertentu di semua laluan jika anda pilih untuk membeli Plus Plan yang mempunyai Perlindungan COVID-19. Antara manfaat Covid-19 adalah elaun khairat kematian, elaun kemasukan hospital, pembatalan perjalanan dan lawatan ihsan.

 

Untuk pembayaran balik perbelanjaan perubatan akibat COVID-19, kami akan membayar balik mengikut jumlah yang ditunjukkan dalam Jadual Faedah sehingga MYR 250,000 (bergantung pada pelan yang dipilih) jika anda dijangkiti COVID-19 dan dimasukkan ke hospital di Negara Ketibaan kerana Peringkat Rawatan 3 hingga Peringkat 5 sehingga 30 hari pertama tempoh Perjalanan.

Nota Penting: Sila pastikan bahawa pelan insurans perjalanan yang dibeli memenuhi keperluan perlindungan perbelanjaan perubatan minimum Negara Ketibaan.
