Here are some details.

Coverage period : 3 months from policy transaction date

Situation example: Purchased Tune Sihat on 1 Jan 2022,

  • You are able to claim the benefit of RM3,000 cash allowances if touch wood, you are hospitalized with Category 3 on 2 Feb 2022, or any date within 8 Jan 2022 to 31 Mar 2022. Please note that 7 days waiting period apply.
  • However, if you are hospitalized due to COVID Category 3 on 1 May 2020, you are not allowed to claim this benefit as the coverage period is only 3 months from your transaction date.

– A copy of letter from KKM – Perintah Pengawasan Dan Perhatian Bagi Kes Jangkitan Penyakit Corona Virus 2019 (COVID-19) Di Bawah Seksyen 11(3) Akta Pencegahan Dan Pengawalan Penyakit Berjangkit 1988 (Akta 342)
– E-mail

Common claim questions;

  • Can I make multiple claims if I was hospitalized multiple times?
    Each Eligible Participant can only claim each benefit once under this campaign.
  • Can I submit my claim after I was discharged from hospital/healed from Covid?
    Yes, you may, as long as you fulfill the terms and conditions of the campaign and latest by 30 days from the end of your 3 months Duration of Coverage.
  • What if I have passed away before a claim is made?
    Upon notification by next of kin, we will assess and then discharge the eligible benefit to your estate.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Who is eligible for this Campaign?
    -Any person with a Tune Sihat policy. This includes all family members insured in a family plan where each member will enjoy these benefits.
    -A new/renewed Tune Sihat policy with the transaction date within 15 Dec 2021 to 14 Mar 2022 (both dates inclusive).
    -Policy must be active at the time of your diagnosis until the completion of pay out under this campaign.

  2. Is there any waiting period for the benefits to be payable to customer?
    The waiting period for this complimentary cover is 7 days from the policy transaction date.
    No benefits will be payable for any diagnosis that occurs during this Waiting Period.

  3. Do I need to be hospitalised to make any claim for these benefits?
    Yes, you will need to be hospitalised to make claim for Category 3 to 5.
    For the lump sum cash allowance of RM3,000, BOTH the conditions of a confirmed Covid-19 diagnosis of stage 3 to 5 and hospitalization of the patient must be fulfilled. If you are NOT hospitalized and being diagnosed as Category 3 to 5, then you are able to claim RM300 voucher benefits instead.

    You are allowed to claim the RM300 cash voucher if you are confirmed with a Covid-19 diagnosis of clinical stage of 1 to 2.
    The categories are as determined by the Ministry of Health Malaysia.

  4. What if I started at Category 2 and was moved up to Category 3 and hospitalised?
    Each Eligible Participant can claim each benefit once during the campaign. Thus;
    – You can make a claim for the RM300 vouchers benefit when you are diagnosed with Category 2.
    – You can make a second claim for the RM3,000 lump sum cash allowance benefit when your condition deteriorates to Category 3 and you were hospitalised. But you cannot claim again for the RM300 voucher.

  5. My policy expires after 14 March 2022. but I have renewed my policy earlier in 1 February 2022 i.e. during the campaign period. Am I still eligible?
    Yes, you are still eligible for these benefits because your policy transaction date of 1 February 2022 falls within the campaign period. Your duration of coverage will start 1 February 2022 and ends on 30 April 2022.

  6. How will I know if I am already enjoying this cover?
    You are automatically enrolled once you meet the requirements. An email confirmation will be sent to you to confirm that you are enjoying these benefits, else you can consult your agents directly.

  7. Will my new policy sum insured be impacted if I make a claim under this campaign?
    No, it will not affect your current policy benefits or sum insured. This is a limited time offer complementary coverage benefits upon your purchase or renewal. It is our way of thanking you for being a valued customer of Tune Protect Malaysia.

  8. Who should I contact if I have any questions?
