Eligibility

  • Individuals of all nationalities who are between 18 to 45 years old (plans are renewable up to 65 years of age)
  • You must not be involved in any extra hazardous occupations
  • Hazardous Occupations:
    • Equestrian Jockeys, Racing Drivers, Professional Athletes
    • Military, Armed Forces/Armed Personnel, Bodyguards
    • Ship Crew, Shipbuilding and Repair Workers, Agricultural, Forestry or Fishery Workers
    • Seamen, Divers, Oil and Gas Rig Workers, Power Plants Workers, Firefighters
    • Mining Workers who work underground or use explosives/chemicals
    • Construction workers for dams, bridges, tunnels or underground work
    • Window cleaners and construction workers at heights exceeding 30 ft above ground
    • Workers that handle boilers, pressure vessels, explosives or toxic materials.
    • Circus Performers, Stuntmen/Stuntwomen, Prison Officers, Wild Animal Handlers
    • Workers handling explosives and other toxic materials.
    • Heavy machinery and truck drivers
  • You must not have any pre-existing medical conditions.
    • Cancer, tumors, abnormal growths or cysts.
    • Stroke, heart attack, chest pains, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, anemia, thyroid disorder, or any disorder of the blood vessels.
    • Any childhood or congenital conditions, bone or joint disorders including arthritis, sciatica and rheumatism.
    • Hepatitis, tuberculosis, or any other disease of the respiratory system.
    • Disorder of the lungs, liver, kidneys, or digestive system.
    • Psychotic, mental or nervous disorders, alcoholism or drug abuse.
    • Any physical conditions that affect your mobility, physical capacity, stamina, or dexterity.
    • Any diseases of the eyes, ears, nose, throat, mouth, skin, back, or spine.
    • AIDS or AIDS related complications, or any communicable diseases that require quarantine by law.

Checking In To A Hospital


STEP 1
Admission Step 1A: Present e-medical card.

After selecting a panel hospital1, present your electronic medical card found on the app.

STEP 1B
Admission Step 1B: If no e-medical card, present Identification Card / Passport.

If you do not have the app, present your Identification Card or Passport. Notify the hospital that you are covered by Tune Protect and mention our Third Party Administrator, MiCare2.

STEP 2
Admission Step 2: Follow hospital admission process.

STEP 3
Admission Step 3: Wait Guaranteed Letter to be issued.

Wait for the Guarantee Letter to be issued to the hospital.

STEP 4
Admission Step 4: Receive treatment

Once approved, receive your treatment.

PRO-Health Medical is an online-only medical insurance plan, providing coverage for hospitalisation and surgical expenses incurred due to various illnesses or accidents. PRO-Health Medical is available exclusively online. This product does not have any savings or investment elements.

Besides covering your hospitalisation expenses, we also provide:

  • A lump sum under the Mosquito-Borne Disease Allowance if you diagnosed and admitted to the hospital for Dengue Virus, Zika Virus, Malaria, Chikungunya or Japanese Encephalitis.
  • Reimbursement for Alternative & Chiropractic Treatment by a traditional medicine practitioner, osteopath, chiropractor, herbalist or bonesetter for further treatment of your injuries after your discharge from the hospital.

No, you do not. A medical check up is not required. However, you are required to declare your health condition truthfully when purchasing PRO-Health Medical online.
Yes, it does. We will issue and store your e-medical card in our Tune Protect App, available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
PRO-Health Medical provides coverage for individuals aged 18 to 65 years old (on their next birthday). However, new applications will only be accepted for individuals between the age of 18 to 45 years old.
Both Malaysian citizens and non-Malaysians can purchase this product. Only one policy per person is allowed.
Yes, PRO-Health Medical is eligible for income tax relief.
We have 4 plans with Annual Limits ranging from RM 30,000 to RM 150,000 which you may choose from according to your lifestyle and needs.

Some of the major exclusions for PRO-Health Medical are:

  1. Pre-existing illnesses
  2. Maternity
  3. Plastic Surgery

You will not be eligible to purchase PRO-Health Medical. Instead, please contact our friendly Tune Protect Malaysia agents who will be able to assist you with alternative solutions.
The Annual Limit is the maximum amount you can claim in a year for your plan. There is no Lifetime Limit for PRO-Health Medical, that means that the Annual Limit will be reinstated every year upon renewal.

After your payment is processed successfully, an SMS text will be sent to your phone confirming that your policy has been issued. The policy documents will be emailed to you at the same time. You can only change or upgrade your plan after applying for the first time or at the time of renewal. Therefore, you are encouraged to choose the appropriate plan for yourself before you make payment. Any change or upgrading of plans will be subject to our underwriting assessment again.
Yes, you can enjoy better savings if you opt to pay premiums annually compared to monthly.
Please try to make payment immediately to avoid disruption to your coverage. Coverage will cease 15 days after your last premium due date. Please contact our Customer Service for assistance to make payment.
Yes, within 60 days from premium due date. There will be no cover under the policy after the end of the grace period of 15 days. Reinstatement of policy will be subject to underwriting questionnaire and outstanding premiums paid. Waiting Period will re-apply from the date of reinstatement of the policy. Please contact our Customer Service Center to apply for reinstatement.
Upon cancellation, any refund of the annual premium will be on a fixed scale. There will be no refund of any premium on monthly payment mode. Please refer to the policy wording for more details.
You will need to pay the stamp duty in the first monthly payment.
Yes, once the payment details have been captured. We will charge the recurring monthly premium every month automatically on your premium due date.
You are only allowed to make payment mode changes upon renewal (on policy anniversary).
Yes, but as a fresh applicant. You will be subjected to the prevailing eligibility, benefits, terms and conditions of the product.

After a successful application, there will be a waiting period of 120 days for Specified Illnesses, and 30 days for any other coverage. Coverage for Accidents can be made immediately provided that the accident occurred after the policy commencement date. The waiting period is only applicable for the first year of insurance, and not for any subsequent continuous renewals.
